Climb 4 Kidney Cancer – Cleveland is more than a stair-climbing challenge—it’s a powerful day of education, connection, awareness, and fundraising in the fight against kidney cancer.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from leading clinicians, researchers, and patient advocates, learn about the latest advancements in treatment and survivorship, connect with others impacted by kidney cancer, and participate in the event’s signature stair-climbing challenge at the iconic Wolstein Center.

The climb represents the uphill journey faced by those living with kidney cancer and honors the strength, resilience, and determination of patients, survivors, caregivers, and families. Every dollar raised helps support critical kidney cancer research, patient programs, and educational initiatives.

In 2018, we lost my Aunt Joanne — our beloved Aunt Jojo — to pancreatic cancer. She was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, and although her time after diagnosis was far too short, she fought with incredible strength and courage the entire way.

Watching someone you love go through that battle changes you. It’s the reason our team continues to show up every year.

Since losing Aunt Jojo, we’ve participated in PanCAN PurpleStride every year to honor her memory and to fight for families who are facing this disease right now. Every step we take is for her, and for the thousands of others who deserve better outcomes, better treatments, and more time with the people they love.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, our team will once again take part in PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer.

The funds raised through PurpleStride support:

Critical pancreatic cancer research that leads to new treatment options

Free, personalized support for patients and families through PanCAN Patient Services

Advocacy efforts that push for better care and earlier detection

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the toughest cancers to fight, but together we can help change that.
