Yoga: A practice that continues to teach me.

Yoga has never just been something I teach—it’s something that continues to teach me.

Every class I lead reminds me that growth isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about returning to yourself, one breath, one challenge, one moment at a time.

Over the years, I’ve watched students discover their strength, confidence, and resilience. At the same time, they’ve unknowingly helped me discover mine.

Teaching yoga has humbled me, challenged me, healed parts of me, and shown me that the greatest lessons often come when we’re willing to be students ourselves.

We all arrive on our mats carrying something different. We all leave with something we didn’t have before.

Thank you to every person who has trusted me to guide your practice. You’ve been just as much a part of my journey as I’ve been a part of yours.

Here’s to continuing to grow—on and off the mat. 🤍🙏

While everyone else is winding down for the night, I’m over here with a notebook, a cup of tea, and way too many tabs open—planning fall classes, workshops, and new intro series. 🍂✨

I’m dreaming up ways to help beginners feel welcome, longtime students stay inspired, and everyone find a space to move, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.

There are so many exciting things in the works, and I can’t wait to share them with you. Every class is created with intention, and every workshop starts with one simple question:

“What do my students need most right now?”

Fall is going to be all about growth, community, and trying something new. Stay tuned… I think you’re going to love what’s coming. 🧡

The yoga pose you least want to do is usually the one you need the most. 😅 What’s your “absolutely not” pose? Believe it or not, mine is revolve triangle!

Hey look 👀 it’s me 🤩👋🏻💜✨

Due to the poor air quality caused by the ongoing Canadian wildfires, tomorrow’s (7/17) 10:00 AM Yoga at the Garden class at Pittsburgh Botanic Garden has been canceled to prioritize everyone’s health and safety.

My heart goes out to everyone directly affected by these devastating wildfires. I’m thinking of the families, communities, firefighters, first responders, and wildlife impacted by this ongoing tragedy. It’s a reminder of how connected we all are—even events hundreds of miles away can affect our daily lives.

If you pre-registered for tomorrow’s class, please contact Pittsburgh Botanic Garden to request either:
🍃 A refund, or
🍃 A transfer to a future Yoga at the Garden class.

The Yoga at the Garden series continues every Saturday morning through the end of September, led by the wonderful teachers of Yoga H’om. I hope you’ll join another class this season and continue enjoying the beauty and peace of the gardens.

🌿 My next Yoga at the Garden class will be Saturday, August 29, and I’d love to see you there.

Until then, please take care of yourselves. If you’re spending time outdoors, consider limiting your exposure while the air quality remains poor. Wishing everyone safe skies, cleaner air, and healing for all those affected.

There’s something sacred about slowing down before the world asks anything of you.

I’ve changed my morning routines and they’ve been a game changer. I begin with a cool glass of water, feeling it refresh and awaken my body before that first cup of coffee. Then I step outside, where the early morning air is crisp against my skin and the first golden rays of sunlight gently warm my face. The soft, steady trickle of the Buddha fountain fills the gazebo, blending with the quiet hum of nature waking up around me. No rushing. No worrying. Just a few quiet moments to breathe deeply, feel the stillness, and be fully present before turning my thoughts to the day ahead.

Morning sunlight helps wake the body naturally, supports our circadian rhythm, and reminds us that we, too, are part of nature’s rhythm. Sometimes the most powerful form of self-care isn’t doing more—it’s creating space to simply exist. Give yourself 10 minutes daily to add this into your morning routine.

These mindful mornings have become an anchor for me. A reminder that peace isn’t something we find somewhere else. It’s something we cultivate, one intentional moment at a time.

How do you like to begin your mornings? ☀️☕️💛
