Your 2026 Wisconsin Waterski Fall Schedule!!! Our first team meeting is next Tuesday, September 1st at 7:30pm. Stay tuned for the location of the meeting. Ski you there!!

Our final senior is Hannah Thompson! Hannah majored in Health Promotion Health Equity and Health Development and Family Studies. Hannah is headed to UW-Milwaukee for Occupational Therapy (yayyyy)! Two things Hannah will miss about WI Waterski is camping every weekend during the fall semester and skiing between classes (so fun btw). A super duper duper fun fact about Hannah is that she’s getting MARRIED in May🥹🥹. Her favorite ski memory is PBing on her very last jump at Nattys senior year. Hannah was not only our secretary last year but was also the apparel director her junior year! Hannah’s PB in trick is 40 pts (let’s goooo). Slalom is a couple?? of buoys at 25 mph. Lastly, her jump PB is 60ft! We will miss Hannah so much and can’t wait to see her get married and do so well at Milwaukee!

Our next senior shoutout goes to Lucy Kneeley! Lucy is graduating with a Master of Science in Materials Engineering, and this summer she has been skiing at Cobles. One of the things she’ll miss most about Madison and collegiate skiing is the community that comes with it. There really is no easier place to meet some of your best friends. Lucy’s favorite ski memory was running a PB at her last Natties while HO Skis recorded her for a documentary, which is SO COOL!! A fun fact about Lucy is that pink wasn’t her favorite color until after she dyed her hair pink. Lucy is leaving the team with a PB of 2@28 off in slalom and a whole lot of memories and friendships from the team. We love you, Lucy!

Next up for our senior shoutouts, we have Calvin Debellis! Calvin is graduating with degrees in Computer Science and Data Science and is heading to Raleigh, NC after graduation to start a job as a data engineer (whoop whoop). He’s excited to move out east, and a fun fact about him is that he has lived on 4 of 7 continents! Calvin says he’ll miss the community and relationships he made through the team, RIP 119 N Bassett. Calvin’s favorite ski memory was his first tournament!! As for skiing, Calvin’s PBs include a 1100 point trick pass, a 109’ jump, and running a 28 mph slalom course at 15 off. Good luck out east! WI Waterski will miss you!

For our second senior post, we have Will Maccarone! Will is graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is heading out to Denver after graduation to start a career in water engineering. As our President and Treasurer, Will has done a little bit of everything for the team and has definitely made an impact on WI Waterski. He says one thing he’ll miss about the team/Madison is Rottier, and apparently he has shared a bed with Bharvat more times than not, which honestly is a little concerning. His PBs are 110 feet in jump, 1060 points in trick, and approximately 1 buoy in slalom LOL. We’re definitely going to miss having Will around, but we’re excited to see what he gets up to in Denver. Good luck, Will!

For our first senior post, we have Lily Thatcher! Lily is graduating with a degree in Chemistry & Environmental Studies and is heading to the University of Minnesota this fall to start her PhD in Chemistry. Outside of school and skiing, Lily has kept busy as the director of the Nordic ski team and as our Fundraising and Finance Chair. Some things Lily is really going to miss are living with her waterski friends and the 7 a.m. slalom sets on Lake Monona. Her favorite memory is spring break at Pickos (duh)!! Lily is leaving us with some pretty solid PBs: 3.5@34 in slalom, 200 points in trick, and a 35’ jump. We’re so excited to see what she does next and know she’s going to do amazing things. We’ll miss ya, Lily!

We are so proud of our graduates and everything they’ve accomplished on and off the water! Thank you for the leadership, memories, and impact you’ve had on WI Waterski. You all have helped make this club feel like family. We love you & we’re going to miss you so much!!!❤️👐🦡🎓
