Today we got to host a group represented by the WGA, Evans Scholar, the MD Deaf Junior Golf Association and the LPGA Girls Golf of Frederick. Hearing impaired youth golfers got a great opportunity to learn about the game. Evans Scholar instructors were on site to teach the basics of caddying. Local instructors and local collegiate golfers helped with the basics of playing. The caddy bibs and the rakes were way too big….so too was the outpouring of support for these young future caddies and golfers.

We were honored to have the sweetest young patriot perform the National Anthem at Tuesday’s DC Touchdown Club Golf Tournament. It was a wonderful reminder of the freedoms we enjoy thanks to the brave men and women who serve our country.

Today we had the honor of celebrating Mike Savin and his 20 years of service at Whiskey Creek. Mike has always been a great ambassador, a great teammate and a great friend to our guests and our entire Whiskey Creek team. Over 20 years we’ve called on Mike to help with many things outside of his normal duties – he’s helped reorganize the cart storage facility, he’s helped with course aeration and even repaired many of our cart chargers. Mike is a True Ambassador and we can’t thank him enough for all he has done for us. Congrats on 20 years Mr. Savin!
