For 115 years, the War Bonnet Round Up has been woven into the heart of Idaho Falls, a place where tradition, community, and Western heritage come alive.

Today, we’re humbled to share that we’ve been nominated for Best of Greater Idaho Falls… and now we need your help to bring this award home to Sandy Downs.

This honor belongs to every fan in the stands, every volunteer behind the scenes, and every family who calls this rodeo “home.”

A day late, but the flag still flies just as proudly. 🇺🇸

There’s something special about seeing Old Glory carried horseback. We’re grateful for the freedoms it represents and for the opportunity to honor those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Our royalty was spread across the country this weekend!

While Edie and Sydney were representing War Bonnet Round Up at the Ridgeview Pro Rodeo in Driggs, Brooklyn was on an airplane headed to Virginia for the National Speech & Debate Tournament.

Edie had the honor of carrying a giant American flag during the rodeo, and Sydney enjoyed spending the weekend meeting people and representing War Bonnet Round Up in Teton Valley.

No matter where they go, these young women do an incredible job representing our rodeo, our community, and the values of the War Bonnet Round Up program. ❤️🤍💙

Our War Bonnet Round Up Princess brought home the state title and is your new Miss Junior Rodeo Idaho 2027!

Not only did Edie win the title, but she also took home the awards for Written Test, Photogenics, Appearance, Public Speaking, and Horsemanship. What an incredible accomplishment! A reflection of all her hard work and dedication to making this dream become a reality.

We couldn’t be more proud of her. She absolutely knocked it out of the park! Congratulations, Edie! We can’t wait to watch all the amazing things you’ll do as Miss Junior Rodeo Idaho 2027! 👑✨

For 115 years, the War Bonnet Round Up has been shaped by the women who carried the crown, the flag, and the spirit of Idaho’s Oldest Rodeo.

Now… it’s time to bring our Queens home.
We’re inviting 15 past MISS War Bonnet Round Ups (Coca Cola Cowgirls) to ride in this year’s historic celebration (we may allow more depending on sign ups/interest).
If you’re a past titleholder, can bring your own horse, and can join us all three nights, we’d be honored to have you back in the arena where your legacy began.

Requirements:
🐎 Must have held the MISS/Queen title
🐎 Must provide your own horse (unless 60+)
🐎 Must be available July 30–Aug 1
🐎 Must be ready to shine like it’s your coronation night all over again

Brooklyn spent the day in Nampa cheering on our War Bonnet Princess, Edie Barnes, as she continues her journey at the Miss Junior Rodeo Idaho pageant.

The day included speeches, on-stage questions, and the chance to spend time with fellow rodeo queens, including Miss Rodeo America.

Tomorrow is coronation day, and we’ll be cheering Edie on every step of the way. No matter the outcome, we’re proud to call her one of our own. ❤️👑

🎓Scholarship Sunday Spotlight:

Congratulations to Sydney Mitchell on being selected as a recipient of the War Bonnet Round Up Association Scholarship!

Each year, the War Bonnet Round Up Association awards scholarships to deserving graduating seniors pursuing higher education. With many outstanding students applying, earning one of these scholarships is a significant accomplishment.

What makes this honor especially meaningful is that Sydney was selected from a competitive pool of applicants while also serving as the reigning Miss War Bonnet Round Up. As she represents Idaho’s oldest rodeo and serves our community throughout her year of reign, this scholarship is a wonderful recognition of her hard work, leadership, and dedication.
