It takes a community to build something special! 🖤💛🏒

A huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to Grand Peaks Prime Meats for generously donating the delicious, high-quality meat for today’s 10U Kickoff BBQ!

We’re incredibly fortunate to be part of a community that continues to show up for youth hockey. Donations like this remind our players that their community is behind them, investing in their growth as teammates, hard workers, and good people. We hope they grow up remembering that support and someday find their own ways to give back.

And there are plenty of opportunities to join this amazing community of supporters! IFYHA is hosting NINE home tournaments this season, and we’re always looking for donated goods and services for raffles. Raffle proceeds directly support our program and help us keep hockey accessible and affordable for local families.

🏒 EAGLES HOCKEY IS BACK! 🦅🔥

Last night, we officially kicked off the season for our 10U through High School teams, along with our Girls Primary Division, at the Ice Breaker Skills Clinic at the MAC!

The energy on the ice was electric. ⚡️ After a long summer, there’s nothing quite like seeing our players back on the ice—skating hard, competing, learning, and having fun together.

We’re fired up for another incredible season of Eagles Hockey and everything that comes with it: new skills, big goals, unforgettable memories, and a whole lot of growth along the way.

The wait is over. Hockey is back. Let’s go, Eagles! 🦅🏒💛🖤

🥅 START THE SEASON STRONG: FREE GOALIE CLINIC WITH CREASE TECH!

IFYHA’s Goalie Academy is BACK this season and we’re kicking it off with a FREE early-season goalie clinic featuring Coach Patrick “Paddy” Kasper of Crease Tech!

📍 Mountain America Center
🏒 On-ice session: 5:45–6:45 PM

Coach Paddy owns Crease Tech, serves as goaltending coach for the NAHL Ogden Mustangs, and is head coach of the Ogden Jr. Mustangs 18U AA program.

The clinic includes:
✅ One hour of goalie-specific on-ice instruction
✅ One hour of dryland training
✅ A 30–45 minute chalk talk covering player performance, decision-making, and the goalie’s perspective

This opportunity is free for registered IFYHA goaltenders with at least one year of goalie experience. Come build your skills and confidence for the season ahead!

Dreams really do come true— Thanks to the Spud Kings! 💛🖤👑

Tonight, our 6U and 8U players got the chance to hit the ice with the Spud Kings! They ran drills, learned from the guys they look up to, and even finished the night with a scrimmage!

Our kids brought the hustle on the ice… and the parents may have gotten just a little rowdy in the stands. 😉😂 Luckily, our players brought the heat and delivered some pretty solid goals!

These are the nights our kids will remember 🖤. A HUGE thank you to the Spud Kings for hosting such a fun, special night and for being incredible role models for our young players.

Just a few short weeks until 6U & 8U are back on the ice — we’re fired up and ready to PLAY SOME HOCKEY! 🔥🏒

🏒 NEW TO HOCKEY? WE’LL HELP YOU GET GEARED UP! 🦅

The 6U/8U divisions (ages 2-8) will be back on the ice soon, and for many families, this will be your very first hockey season. If you’re wondering where to begin when it comes to gear, don’t worry — we’ve got you covered!

IFYHA has a large inventory of rental gear in a wide variety of sizes, helping us outfit players ages 2–8. We also have a large inventory of goalie equipment available to borrow for those little Eagles ready to give the crease a try! 🥅

We’ll share more information about rental gear, sizing and gear handout at the 6U/8U parent meeting, so stay tuned!

If you haven’t registered your player(s) yet, now’s a great time to sign up so you don’t miss any important updates!
