Grangeville High School in Idaho is nearly 30% economically disadvantaged and their track program is completely self-funded.

iRun has about 400 followers between our two social accounts. If all of our followers mailed $1 to Grangeville High School and then shared this post with 5 people (like a cheesy 90s email chain), we could help them raise some money.

Slip your buck in an envelope addressed: c/o The Bookkeeper at 910 S D St, Grangeville, ID 83530 with the following note: "Please apply this dollar to your high school's track fund. I do not need a receipt.

When you've mailed your dollar and sent it to five other people, like this post so we can see the difference we all make.

On Saturday, runners from all over Idaho will converge on Pocatello for the state cross-country meet. We wish all local runners good luck!

We'd also like to wish good luck to Grangeville High. We did a fundraiser in August for their cross country team and many of you responded with donations. This is why we love long-distance runners! We are a community.

Next year, our fundraiser for Grangeville High XC will return in August as the 2nd annual "Dollars for Grangeville". Stay tuned and prepare to donate.

Well...

* There was the Virginia runner who is trying to run a 5K in all 50 states before her 50th birthday. (She only has 4 more to go.)

* There was the running team who is trying to run a 5K together every month. (They are thinking about making their name "Chafing the Dream".)

* Then there was the runner who was giving away zucchinis the size of cats. (Because as one runner said, "It wouldn't be an Idaho run without zucchini".)
