I want to set the record straight on belts. They are a useful tool to aid in a large lift to help keep your core stiff and support your spine. However, you do not need them for day to day lifts and I argue you should refrain from using them as much as possible. If you find yourself constantly reaching for the belt maybe you should reach for an ab roller or other core strengthening exercise first.

I am a huge proponent for unilateral training. It is a large part of my workout programs. Training unilaterally helps to fix muscle imbalance, improves stability, and builds muscle the same as bilateral training. Weight training is the best activity for women. It will improve your confidence, and self image. Weight training has benefits for all. However, the fitness intuited has mislead women for decades by teaching them false information about how weight training will affect their bodies. Women I promise that lifting heavy weights will not make you look like a man. Rather it will build muscle, burn fat and improve your mental health. All women of all ages should lift heavy weights.πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ
