The U.S. Women’s Fly Fishing Team is a group of passionate, skilled anglers competing at the highest level of international fly fishing. Guided by our first-ever all-women leadership team, we are committed to setting a new standard for excellence while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for anglers of all levels. Our Mission
To compete vigorously on the global front, empower women and girls to experience the pleasure of fly fishing, and act as accountable guardians of our natural resources. We strive to expand the sport and advocate for opportunities for women in angling through education, outreach, and competitions. What We Do:
- Compete Globally: Representing the USA at international competitions like the World Fly Fishing Championships.

- Promote Women in Angling: Collaborating with US Angling and other organizations to bring more women into the sport.

The last few days have been a whirlwind, as we finished up the FIPS-Mouche World Ladies Fly Fishing Championships 🐟 in Norway and moved on to our respective “next adventures.” As always, there are so many thoughts and emotions to convey:
🔥💧🌈💥🌧️⚡️☀️🩷

✨ It was a tough competition and everyone gave it their all. We placed 5th as a team overall, and of course we are deeply sad not to have made the podium. We’re honored to have been able to represent our country 🇺🇸, and we look forward to another shot in South Africa next year.

✨ We are also deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to fish these extraordinary rivers and to fish alongside so many talented anglers (and friends) from around the world. 🌍 It was moving to see everyone’s passion and commitment.

✨ We want to send our sincere 🎉CONGRATULATIONS 🎉to the Protea Ladies from South Africa 🇿🇦for winning gold, and to France 🇫🇷 and Finland 🇫🇮for winning silver and bronze, respectively. You all fished so well and represent the best of this sport. You embody what it is to be champions. 🏆💛

✨We want to express our profound gratitude to Team Norway 🇳🇴, the Norwegian Federation of Competition Fly Fishers (NKFF) and their President Ingvild Aurdal, as well as organizers Erlend Nilssen and Cato Nilssen for hosting us with such kindness and generosity. 🙏 🙏 ❤️
