The DeMatha Soccer Academy (DMSA) was established in 2014 and is a non-profit soccer club. Utilizing healthy competition, a focus on continual learning, and a commitment to helping every player reach their potential, we strive to create culture of excellence and develop leaders in the community, scholars in the classroom, and champions on the field. We are a 10-month competitive travel soccer program, for boys 5-18 years old. Tryouts are typically held in the spring (for the following fall/spring season) but please contact us anytime if you are interested in learning more about our program. United Academy. Through the partnership, both D.C. United and DeMatha Soccer will cooperate to combine and enhance resources for player development, with top players from DeMatha transitioning to the United academy at an age to be determined. The two teams will have annual scrimmages against each other and United coaching staff will lead educational sessions for DeMatha coaches while also expanding the scouting network between both clubs. Boys in grades 9 – 12 do not need to attend DeMatha Catholic High School to participate in DeMatha Soccer Academy. DeMatha Soccer Academy players who apply and are accepted into DeMatha Catholic High School can try-out for the Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity teams.
