The Hangar has hung flags for current members that commit to play college athletics over the years. These athletes are role models for our younger members as they showcase the work ethic it takes to achieve success on the athletic field.
To kickstart our 2026 college athletes we begin with two Ankeny Centennial stars. If you didn’t see these girls when you arrived the noise of their bats certainly got your attention! Huge congratulations to these two outstanding girls for everything they’ve accomplished on and off the field.
🥎 Jordyn Kennedy
Heading to study Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota. Jordyn leaves behind one of the most decorated softball careers around:
• 3x 1st Team All-State
• 3rd Team All-State honors as an 8th grader
• 4x 1st Team All-Conference
• Captain of the 5A All Tournament team
Best of Luck up North and remember they don’t really mean it when they chant “Who hates Iowa?”
🥎 Mady Ott
Another star from the loaded Centennial team, Mady will be continuing her journey at Drake University to study Business after an incredible career:
• Delivered the unforgettable walk-off against Urbandale
• Member of the 2023 State Championship team
• All-Tournament Team selection
• 2nd Team All-Conference in Volleyball
Both athletes represent what dedication, toughness, and commitment look like. They should be proud of what they accomplished and we are proud to have had them as Hangar members this past offseason.
Best of luck this upcoming season!!
