Today, we recognize and celebrate Juneteenth a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black Americans throughout our nation’s history.

As firefighters, we are united by a commitment to service, brotherhood, sisterhood, and the belief that every member of our community deserves dignity, respect, and opportunity.

Juneteenth is a time to reflect on the past, appreciate the progress made, and continue striving toward a stronger, more inclusive future for all.

The Hutto Professional Firefighters Association, Local 4707, proudly joins our community in commemorating this important day of freedom, remembrance, and hope.

🚨 HUTTO CITIZENS DESERVE ANSWERS 🚨

Hutto Mayor Mike Snyder has reportedly requested a meeting with the WCESD #3 Commissioners to discuss City Fire Station #1 and now City Fire Station #2.

The question many citizens should be asking is: WHY? Does this serve the best interests of the citizens of Hutto, or is there more to the story that hasn’t been shared with the public?

Leadership in Action 👊

Congratulations to Hutto Firefighters Local 4707 Vice President Robert Acosta on successfully completing the 11th District Executive Leadership Series Basic Mediation and Conflict Resolution Training in Dallas, Texas.

Over the course of this intensive program, Robert invested his time in developing the leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills necessary to better serve our members and strengthen our Local. Programs like this help build stronger leaders who can effectively advocate, listen, and work through challenges while keeping the best interests of the membership at the forefront.

We are proud to see our leadership continuing to learn, grow, and bring valuable knowledge back to Local 4707.

One of the most important responsibilities of WCESD #3 (Hutto Fire Rescue) is being accountable the residents in our District who fund our services.

As a local government entity, we are committed to making financial and operational information available to the public. From budgets and audits to contracts and board meetings, we believe our community should have easy access to information about how decisions are made and how taxpayer dollars are used.

That commitment has earned WCESD #3 five Transparency Stars from the Texas Comptroller in the following areas:

⭐ Traditional Finances
⭐ Open Government & Compliance
⭐ Debt Obligations
⭐ Contracts & Procurement
⭐ Public Pensions

Transparency helps build trust, promotes accountability, and ensures our community can stay informed about the fire and emergency services that protect them every day.

All donations designated in his honor will be directed to support his son. On the Fire Foundation home page, please click on the “Donate” tab at the top and follow the instructions below:
• Select your donation amount.
• Choose either a one-time or recurring donation.
• In the nonprofit dropdown, select Round Rock Fire Foundation.
• Add a note if you'd like.
• Most importantly, select "Honor" and enter FRENCH in the name field.
This final step allows us to identify donations connected to Zachary and ensure they are properly designated.
The final amount raised will be placed into a trust for Zac’s son.

Your Firefighters cannot express enough gratitude for the overwhelming support we have felt over the past few days and we hope that you can join us in honoring Zac at his service.
