NO PINKSTRONG RIDE ON OCTOBER 4.

After looking at the expected weather and the potential for flooded low-water crossings along our routes, we made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s ride.

We know this one hurts.

It hurts us, too.

PinkStrong is about showing up for survivors, fighters, families, friends, and everyone affected by breast cancer.

We may not be rolling this weekend...but PinkStrong isn't going anywhere.

🎗️ WE'LL BE ROLLING AGAIN IN OCTOBER 2027.

This is not the update we wanted to share.

After talking with the National Weather Service and local police and looking at the rain expected early this week — including the potential for flooded low-water crossings along our routes — we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the PinkStrong Ride scheduled for October 4, 2026.

Could Texas weather pull a 2-step on us and be sunny on Sunday? Absolutely. 😂
But we have to make the call with the information we have now, and we made this decision with a whole lot of thought, love for this event, and the safety of our riders, volunteers, student groups, police, support crews and partners in mind.

And because more than 25% of our riders are traveling from outside the area, we also want to give everyone enough notice to make changes to travel plans.

💗 THE GOOD NEWS

You don't have to do anything with your registration.

All 2026 registrations will be automatically deferred to PinkStrong 2027 at no additional cost. We'll handle it on our end — no forms, no hoops, no headache.

Our tentative 2027 date is October 2 or 3, 2027, and we'll confirm the date in the coming days.

We're heartbroken to miss this year, but PinkStrong isn't going anywhere.
We'll park the bikes for now.
We'll hold the tutus.
And we'll come back PinkStrong in 2027. 🩷

🌧️ PINKSTRONG WEATHER UPDATE 🌧️

Mother Nature has entered the chat. 👀

With some very wet weather currently in the forecast, the PinkStrong team is actively updating our weather + emergency safety plans and working with the National Weather Service, police, route support, vendors and event partners.

We don't have a final decision yet.

There are currently four possible paths:

1️⃣ Remain as planned
2️⃣ Modify the routes/event
3️⃣ Reschedule
4️⃣ Cancel/Defer

Why are we looking at this now?

Because a rainy ride is one thing.

Flooded low-water crossings, unsafe road conditions, being unable to safely mark roads or place signage, and getting our route support where they need to be are another.

We have low-water crossings that affect all of our routes, and there isn't a practical way around them if they flood.

So we're looking at the whole picture — not just the Sunday forecast.

We're talking with the people and partners who make PinkStrong happen and figuring out what options are actually available to us.
