Today marks 21 years of The Golf Station, and to say I’m grateful would be an understatement.
I still remember the day we started, when I committed to inventory for a store that didn't have a building yet. I remember signing a six-year lease on blind faith. I hoped — desperately — that the business would make enough money to cover the rent.
Needless to say, I'm grateful it worked. I’m grateful for every golfer who has walked through our doors and trusted us to help them. Grateful for the team members who’ve believed in this place. Grateful for the quiet moments and the challenging ones. For the lessons that made a difference. For the fittings that changed someone's game. For the relationships that turned into something that looks more like family than business.
From those early days to national recognition and golfers who've found us from across the globe — none of it was inevitable. All of it was grace and a whole lot of hard work.
If you've ever been in one of our shops, thank you. Genuinely. You didn't just support a business. You became part of a story that’s still being written. Whether you came with hopes to play in the U.S. Open or to enjoy a Saturday morning round with a friend, my goal has always been the same: that you leave with more confidence in your swing and more trust in what's in your bag.
That hasn't changed. It never will.
I measure these 21 years in you and the team members who show up every day with skill, character, and genuine care for the people they serve.
Twenty-one years in, I'm more grateful than I've ever been. And I'm convinced that the best is still ahead. Even now, we're working on some special projects that are all geared to better serve you in every way possible.
