From WVFC to the USL League Two stage ⛰️⚽️

After years of developing with WVFC, Brier Wagner recently made his debut for WV United, representing his home state at the next level before continuing his soccer journey at Marshall University this fall.

The St. Joseph Central Catholic graduate said putting on the WV United jersey was a special moment.

“Growing up in West Virginia it meant a lot and was truly an honor to put on the West Virginia United uniform and represent my home state at a high level.”

Brier credits his development over the years and the environments around him for helping prepare him for the next step. Now with WV United, he has the opportunity to train and compete alongside college players from across the country and around the world.

“It’s been an amazing experience being around players from different countries. Everyone brings something different, whether it’s their style of play, mentality, or experience.”

From WVFC, to WV United, to Marshall. Another example of the pathway being built for players in West Virginia

Interested in joining WVFC? Come out and see what our club is all about. Interest nights are open to both boys and girls, and all players in the listed age groups are welcome.

Players will have the opportunity to meet coaches, train with WVFC, and learn more about our programs.
