Heat Check Hoops ballers, I wanted to make you aware of a change we adjusted on the Heat Check Hoops Summers Skills Camp.

We are merging the Girls Camp that was originally in July with the Boys Camp that we are doing in June. We hope to have a great turnout & A LOT OF FUN!!

BIG TIME ANNOUNCEMENT!!

I think everyone growing up that played ball in WV loved Sports City U and the facility Jimmy Clayton created. A dream came true this week where my friend Kevin Thompson took on this space & now I have the opportunity to begin training my athletes at this historic facility. Now this will be the home for Hurricane Sports Complex. I’m so grateful to be apart of such an amazing opportunity, continuing to train as Heat Check Hoops in a new facility & see this facility continue to foster growth for athletes.

We are starting back training first week of March. As of right now we are doing personal lessons Wednesday evening & Saturday morning. Also keep your eye out within the next couple weeks for potential Spring classes & camps!

2026 will be a big year for basketball development! Although we are looking to starting back weekly lessons in the spring, Heat Check Hoops would like to offer pop up camps!

We have had a lot of success being able to offer camps in your community and we will travel to you. These camps work best when you have access to a gym, connections to the youth, and you’re excited to grow the game of basketball. Let’s partner together to help grow the development of your young athletes in your community.
