Father vs Son Shooting Challenge

Description:
Family competition time.

This father and his 19-year-old son were visiting Southern Utah and decided to take on our 6-target steel challenge.

Each shooter received 10 rounds and had to clear six steel targets as quickly as possible.

The son whom never shot before went first and put the pressure on Dad. When it was Dad's turn, things didn't go quite as planned.

His Only Experience Was Call Of Duty

This 17-year-old visitor from the Netherlands named Rens was on vacation near Zion National Park when I asked him if he had ever shot before.

His answer surprised me:

"Only Call of Duty."

No prior shooting experience. No fi****ms training. Just years of video games.

So we stepped up to the firing line to see how those skills would translate to the real world.

Dutch Couple Shooting Challenge! 🏆

This fun couple from the Netherlands had never shot real fi****ms before visiting Southern Utah.

After some instruction and practice, I gave them a challenge:

🎯 HIT 6 steel targets
🔫 Using only 10 rounds
⏱ Fastest time wins

One competitor completed the challenge.

One competitor ran out of ammo.

At the end, we crowned a champion! 😂

When this guest from Germany arrived, she had never touched a firearm before.

After working on trigger control and fundamentals, we set a goal:

Could she place two accurate shots on a 6-inch target 14 yards away in just one second?

One of my favorite parts of this job is watching first-time shooters gain confidence and accomplish things they didn't think they could do.

That's how Maja from the Netherlands started her first shooting experience.
