Massive Junior Year in store for Ayden Spence!!!
🏀 Ayden Spence - Emerging star for the Cabell Midland Knights
Ayden Spence, a 6’3” guard (listed as high as 6’4” in some reports) for the Cabell Midland Knights in Ona, West Virginia, and a member of the class of 2028, put together a strong sophomore season in 2025-26.
In that campaign he averaged approximately 14.3–14.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 4.2 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game across about 22 contests. He led the Knights in rebounds, assists, and steals while ranking among the top steals producers in West Virginia (top five statewide and near the top of Class AAAA). His defensive activity stood out, including a triple-double performance with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals in a win over Princeton.
Spence earned MSAC Second Team recognition and was named to the Herald-Dispatch All Tri-State Honorable Mention team, along with All-State Honorable Mention. His high school program and observers described him as one of the top sophomores in the state this past season.
On the AAU/club circuit he has played a key role for the West Virginia Blue Chips, WV Impact and other organizations along the way, where he has shown scoring, playmaking, and defensive ability in events such as Myrtle Beach and other showcases.
A versatile two-way wing/guard with a high motor, Spence continues to develop as a prospect to watch in West Virginia high school basketball.
