Adjustments to the pinsetters for the updated lane heights and delivery of our lane oiler coming up next.... and of course more updates to the center itself too!

Day 2 of lane project..... completely replacing the front bases and making sure supports intact and leveling before new surfaces are installed over them. The synthetic overlays will go on over the back half with adjustments to machines when completed for the new lane heights...(which would be the original installation heights before many years of resurfacing on the old lanes and lowering as result....)

And.... today it starts...The replacement lane surfaces are here and the process to remove the old wood lanes and instal...

The replacement lane surfaces are here and the process to remove the old wood lanes and install our new surfaces is underway...

Mack Lane Service from De Pere, WI is here doing our installation work over the next few days. We have some projects for the old lanes, and even have a great feature with our upgraded lanes too!!

Its been a little bit since we have posted a progress update..... Some big changes have already been started with the footprint of the center - with the biggest update starting tomorrow morning!

With the current lanes meeting their final days due to deterioration and not being able to be certified for USBC after this last cycle - the process of installing our updated replacement surfaces begins at 7AM. We are working on plans to integrate the old lanes into useful surfaces in the center yet, so watch for that later! We also have an updated lane machine coming this week to maintain and oil the new lane surfaces too!!

Here is a sneak peek of what we've been up to so far.... looking forward to announcing our opening dates and getting or upcoming league meetings posted soon too.... keep watching for updates....

Tomorrow (Thursday) from 4 to 6pm - anyone that has any equipment at the lanes is welcome to come claim it during this time... We will have someone here so you can claim your equipment.. Much of what was left behind is years old and forgotten by many.... Will have some time posted for Saturday also the 15th.

Hey all --

Just following up on the post from the Iron County Memorial Building FB Page - We are beginning here with the renovation on the center here soon and there is still a lot of old bowling equipment that has been abandoned over the years at the lanes - This includes balls, shoes and bags.

We are working on a plan to set up some times where people can contact or stop in and claim any equipment they have still at the center after they were left behind. The goal is to have any of these claimed by August 14th otherwise they will be donated or repurposed, etc as necessary.

IF YOU have any equipment there - Please message us and we will make arrangements to meet with you so you can retrieve you items.

Highway 51 Bowling - Bar and Arcade (formerly the Hurley Lanes) is coming... with some exciting changes in the upcoming months to upgrade the lanes and facility! We are working with the Iron County Restoration Committee with a plan to bring these upgrades to life over the next month.... Watch for updates and news and we start making progress and get ready for welcoming bowlers back and into the 2026 upcoming Fall League Season!!
