is a great instructor.

Malfunctions dropped my time but didn’t drop my mind. I couldn’t be more proud of my C class classifier. One No Shoot Mike dropped from me from an M run to C. I’ll accept that all day and will work the same speed next time, just slightly more visually aware.

I have a lot to digest from the last two days. More on that later. BIG thank you to Mike for walking us through the process to achieve M and beyond 🤙🏼

First overall match win.

Still processing that one.

This wasn’t just about the result — it was about ex*****on. Taking what I learned from training with .henderson5 and actually applying it when it mattered. That’s the win.

Also took a minute in this video to talk about something that’s been on my mind…

We’re still shooting classifiers from 2003, 2006 and much older. The sport has evolved — should the classifiers?

Not saying I’ve got the answers… but it’s a conversation worth having.

My First USPSA Match Win… And a Take on Outdated Classifiers.

I just captured my first overall USPSA match win at Last Resort Guns — and it still doesn’t feel real.

This match meant a lot, not just because of the result, but because I was able to apply principles from training with Grand Master Lee Henderson and see them actually show up under pressure.

USPSA classifiers.

USPSA is still running very outdated classifiers, and I share my thoughts on why it might be time to evolve — deleting old classifiers and sticking with more modern stage design that reflects the current state of the sport.

I know one video won’t change anything… but it’s a conversation worth having.

This jam is the vibe that ran through my head all match. Smooth and positive.

I came in 4th in Limited Optics and 19th overall. Taking the lessons learned from .henderson5’s training, and new sponsorship energy with on my side, today turned out very well. It also marks my second A Class performance hitting 79.30%. This is truly the beginning of the end of B Class.

Last night was one of those matches where everything started to click.

At Last Resort Guns and Range I finished 1st in Limited Optics by 34.5% and 2nd overall (excluding PCC).

What stood out most wasn’t just the placement, but why the performance happened.

Two things really came together:

-Being visually patient on my doubles
-Increasing speed and commitment in transitions

When the vision is disciplined, the gun follows.

Every match is a learning opportunity, and this one reinforced some things I’ve been working hard on in training. I’m excited to carry that focus into the next match this Saturday with Rocket City Practical Shooters at Cavern Cove Competitive Shooting.

As if that’s how you talk to anyone… not to mention, another staff member was recording me using my phone… 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

But don’t worry, they’ll never see this post because out of their 9 IG posts, the last one was in 2022, so unfortunately they won’t have the opportunity to grow into 2026, appropriately, and treat customers with respect.

Beyond that noise, is amazing and I’d love to test more of their beautifully crafted fi****ms in the future. Cheers to progress. Unfortunately Larry’s will not be a part of said progress. 🤙🏼

I had a strong training session at Hobbs Island Shooting Range today with one goal in mind:

Fix my transitions.

March is packed — 11 matches — and I know if I want to close the gap to A Class, I can’t let transitions keep bleeding time. They’ve been my biggest time suck, and today I finally slowed down enough to diagnose what’s really happening.

I was able to self-identify:
• Over-driving past targets
• Visual lag before confirmation
• Inconsistent throttle control

What I love about this sport is this — you can’t hide from the truth. The timer exposes everything.

This session also tied directly into training lessons I'll have with Mike Hwang and Lee Henderson that sharpened my understanding of:
• Visual patience
• Predictive transitions
• Letting the eyes lead and the gun follow

This next month isn’t about hoping to shoot better.
It’s about training with intention and stacking disciplined reps.
