Being a hitting coach is one of the toughest jobs in baseball. You celebrate the highs, wear the lows, and keep showing up every day to help players grow…often behind the scenes.

Yesterday was a really cool coaching moment for me. I had a player that went to Cooperstown and came back with a custom fungo for me.

I’m grateful to all my families for their trust in me with their players future, but stuff like this is what keeps you humble and grounded.

A reminder that the relationships you build are a lot more important than the wins or losses.

Coach Nico Marchetti officially joins the USA Scout coaching staff while continuing as the Current Director of Hitting at Talley Performance.

Former players know exactly what’s coming:
High standards.
A lot of reps.
A lot of competition.
And probably getting called out for rolling over to shortstop.

One thing about Nico — he’s going to bring energy, intensity, and real development every single day. Excited for our players to learn from one of the best hitters and coaches around.
