The Blue Diva gave us some ups and downs this weekend. Unloaded at the track and decent speed in both practices. Bolted on new tires for qualifying. Got in the car to get in the qualifying line and the shifter had come loose. Shane Jones came to the track to offer some help and glad he did. He was able to repair the shifter and we made qualifying. The new tires were slower than expected and the engine had a stumble, as we turned a 15.9 which put us 5th quick and after the inversion, put us on the outside pole for the race. Started the race and fell back to 5th but was running with the front pack. Had a caution on lap 7 that took out a couple of cars ahead of us. Started 3rd on the restart stayed with front two. A few laps later the leader fell out with a mechanical issue so that moved us up to second which is where we finished. I believe we are headed in the right direction and hopefully make the Blue Diva faster. Can’t thank all the guys at the shop for all the help, Chuck Mandy, Shawn Manke, Jeff & Todd Campbell and Brad Stell! Also a big thanks to Shane Jones for the help and advice at the track! Forgot to make a post last week. Michael didn’t race last week so Jeff Campbell took over the driving duties last race. He made 6 laps and contact was made by another driver. Jeff spun which caused the left rear axle seal to come out and started dumping fluid which ended his run. Michael will be back in the drivers seat tonight. So come out and cheer on the old man! Hopefully the Blue Diva will behave and give us a good run! Races start at 7! Come on out and bring a friend and help support a local piece of history! See ya at the track!

We made some gains on The Blue Diva tonight. Engine is working well and made some suspension changes that she liked. Between myself and Jeff driving it and giving input it helped out a lot. Believe we have a good piece to work with now. Big thanks to Chuck Mandy, Shawn and Alec Manke, Todd and Jeff Campbell and Brad Stell for all the help at the shop and the track! The Blue Diva came home P5 tonight. Engine and car are in one piece. Still have some issues to work on but we can work on it to make it faster!
