Another Junior Golf Camp in the Books!

What an incredible time we had at Valley Hill Country Club! Our latest Junior Golf Camp was filled with plenty of fun, smiles, learning, and great memories out on the course.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, supported the camp, and helped make it such a great experience. And a special shoutout to all of our junior golfers who attended — you brought the energy and made this camp one to remember!

We loved seeing everyone have such a great time, and we’re already looking forward to the next one. Another great Junior Golf Camp in the books!

🏆 Congratulations, Molly Jamison!

Valley Hill Country Club is incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own, Molly Jamison, on an outstanding performance at the Lee Hodges SJGT at Canebrake!

Molly captured the Overall Female Division Championship with rounds of 75 and 72, finishing with an impressive two-round total of 147.

It is always special to see our Valley Hill members competing, growing, and succeeding at such a high level. Molly’s hard work, dedication, and competitive spirit continue to shine, and we are excited to celebrate this well-earned accomplishment with her.

Way to go, Molly! Your Valley Hill family is proud of you!

Championship golf. Club pride. A weekend worthy of Valley Hill.

Thank you to every player who competed in the 2026 Valley Hill Men’s & Senior Club Championships.

From the opening tee shots to the final putts, this year’s championship delivered outstanding competition, great camaraderie, and a true test of golf—while, for the most part, staying one step ahead of the weather.

Leading the field was Sam Wolfe, who delivered a record-setting performance. Sam finished at 10-under par with rounds of 65, 69, and 71 for a three-day total of 205, earning Valley Hill’s highest individual golf honor as the 2026 Men’s Club Champion.

II Tee Champion: Brantley Johnson — 161
Senior Club Champion: Flip Bradley — 217
III Tee Champion: Gary Valcana — 153
IV Tee Champion: Bob Overbeek — 155
V Tee Champion: Randy Renfroe — 171

Sam Wolfe, Flip Bradley, and the top 10 finishers in the Men’s Club Championship have also earned the opportunity to represent Valley Hill in the 2026 Battle of the Parkway against Huntsville Country Club. We are proud of the team that will carry the Valley Hill name into this year’s competition.

A special thank-you goes to Jeff Lee and the entire Golf Course Maintenance Team for the countless hours, attention to detail, and tremendous effort required to create true championship conditions. The course was presented at its very best and provided an outstanding test for every division.

Most importantly, thank you to every participant, family member, supporter, Golf Shop team member, staff member, and volunteer who helped make the weekend possible. Your support and commitment continue to make the Club Championship one of Valley Hill’s premier traditions.

TYLER WATTS NAMED TO TEAM USA 🇺🇸⛳

A huge congratulations to Valley Hill’s own Tyler Watts on being selected to represent Team USA at the 2026 Walker Cup, set for September 5–6 at Lahinch Golf Club in Ireland.

Tyler continues to put together one of the most impressive amateur résumés in the country. Currently ranked No. 3 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, he earned his place on Team USA through an automatic exemption as one of the top-ranked American players in the WAGR.

His recent run has been nothing short of incredible:

• 2025 Northeast Amateur Champion
• Youngest champion in tournament history at 18 years old
• Fired a course-record 60 during the event
• Winner of the 2025 Sunnehanna Amateur Championship
• Winner of the 2025 Elite Amateur Series
• Made the cut in both of his PGA TOUR starts in 2025

Tyler will also make history as the first Tennessee freshman ever to compete in the Walker Cup.

An incredible accomplishment for one of the game’s brightest young stars, and Valley Hill is proud to celebrate one of our own.

Congratulations to Valley Hill’s own Grace Engel!

Grace captured the title at the 3rd Alabama Women’s State Match Play Championship at Musgrove Country Club with an outstanding week of competition.

She advanced through the bracket with a quarterfinal win over Kiersten Riggins, followed by a hard-fought 22-hole semifinal victory over Kylee Lynn, before defeating Klare Jamison 5 & 3 in the championship match to bring home the title.

Grace’s poise, toughness, and competitive spirit were on full display all week long, and we are proud to celebrate one of our own. Congratulations, Grace, on an incredible accomplishment!

Junior Golf Camp 2026 was one for the books!

What a phenomenal week at Valley Hill! From learning the game and growing skills to making new friends and having a whole lot of fun, this camp was such a special time for everyone involved.

As you can see, these kids had an absolute blast — and we loved every minute of it. Thank you to all of our junior golfers, parents, and coaches for making this summer camp such a success. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Another huge congratulations to Valley Hill’s own Tyler Watts!

Tyler continues an incredible run, capturing the Northeast Amateur Invitational and becoming the youngest champion in the storied history of the event.

He finished the week at 16-under par, closing with a final-round 65 after posting rounds of 66, 60, 69, and 65. Competing against one of the strongest fields in men’s amateur golf, Tyler showed poise, confidence, and championship-level ex*****on from start to finish.
