Strong 2nd place finish for the Rocket City Trash Pandas Legend at Huntsville Speedway Alabama
Coming off a strong third-place finish in the first race of the season last month at Huntsville Speedway, and following some rainouts, we were able to get back on track this weekend.
The team encountered significant difficulties during Friday night's practice session, struggling with the car's handling and overall speed. The team worked diligently overnight and into race day to implement changes aimed at improving the car's performance.
Although Saturday's practice session showed slight improvement, the car's handling remained a concern and speed was still lacking.
In qualifying, we demonstrated incremental progress but still fell short of the pace, securing third place out of five. The team made additional adjustments for the race and successfully secured second place at the start. The caution-free race enabled us to maintain our position and ultimately achieve a second-place finish.
We are already actively identifying the issues that hindered our performance this weekend, with the goal of continuing to strengthen our team and prepare for the upcoming race at Huntsville Speedway in two weeks.
