Virtual Racing Team Post!

Featuring our newest paint scheme for the team, made by Cade Corbin!

Last season, UAH’s Virtual Racing Team (VRT) ran the 12 hours at Sebring and finished 8th in class.
This season, they will expand to 2 teams: The Mustang, running at 7:30am, and the McLaren at 11:30am on Saturday, March 28th!

Driving the Mustang:
Connor Bingel, Aaron Cyrus, and William Little

Driving the McLaren:
Jordan Riecke, Mason Gay, Steven Jones, and Cade Corbin

Working hard? You bet!

After the Tailgate and ChargerCon, our Nissan Sentra has a few surprises for us!

Over the last week, Sentra team members replaced the alternator, installed a new tachometer, cleaned the Idle Air Control valve, and began diagnosing an electrical issue. We’re happy to see steady progress with this car, even when we have setbacks.

A very exciting week for Motorsports at UAH!

This weekend kicked off with some of our team members at the engineering expo on Friday outside of SSB.

Saturday started at the Tailgate with the Sentra, we had a lot of fun meeting potential teammates and getting to know all of you! Our pit challenge was available for everyone to test their skills!

Along with attending the tailgate, we had Charger Blue try some of our sim rigs at ! We’re thankful for the support and the ability to host a space, we hope to do it again!

Tuesday, some of our team members presented our projects at E Week, the Virtual Racing Team, Sentra and X-1 projects! We had a great time meeting those experienced in the industry and some of our professors.

Misaligned Doors? Not Anymore!

Sentra team members have been putting in the work!
This weekend a new CV Axel was installed, the back window came off and, a sunroof panel was installed.

Not only that, but some time was taken to get the Sentra into show shape! The doors and trunk are now aligned, with a new decal for our sponsor .glossworks ! Southeast Glossworks was kind enough to wash the Sentra for the upcoming Homecoming Tailgate on campus!

The Daytona 24 in iRacing

On January 17 and 18th, our Virtual Racing Team participated in iRacing’s 2026 Daytona 24.

Two Teams, consisting of 5 drivers in the Mustang, and 6 in the Corvette, placed 14th and 20th during the challenge.

The Virtual Racing Team is part of our driver development program to get students driving experience and ready to tackle real world performance driving.
