🔥 2025 Nationals – Oklahoma City 🔥

With perfect weather in the upper 80s, team Huntley Fire's own Brandon Rothbauer and Eric Rose proudly competed in the Fire Challenge League (formerly the Firefighter Combat Challenge) located in Oklahoma State University campus with 196 firefighters that attended from 31 states across the country.

This season wrapped up strong with standout performances from both athletes. Over a decade of competing, at the age of 42, Eric Rose set a new PR of 1:27.3, establishing the Illinois State Record and earning a 2nd place finish at Nationals Championship Competition! 💪🏅

Meanwhile, Brandon Rothbauer continues to impress with his consistency, making his mark across multiple competitions this season. He posted a final time of 2:29. His steady growth and determination show tremendous promise for the future of the sport, and Huntley Fire is proud to have him on the team. 🔥👏

A huge thank you to the Huntley Fire Protection District and ServPro for their incredible support throughout the 2025 season. 🙏

And most importantly, a spotlight to our families—especially our wives—who hold it down at home and encourage us every step of the way. Without this amazing community behind us, moments like these wouldn’t be possible. ❤️

We just wrapped up an incredible 3-day competition in St. Paul, MN, and couldn’t be more proud of the outcome!

Despite the 95 degree temps🔥 Eric Rose and Josh Roddy represented the Huntley Fire Protection District and our awesome sponsor ServPro in a weekend packed with intensity, camaraderie, and personal bests.
These moments are only possible because of the incredible support from our families, our HFPD brothers and sisters, Barry from ServPro, and every single person who sent good vibes and congratulations our way. We strive to make you proud with our hard work and dedication to being ready to serve at the highest level.

Huntley Fire Team Takes on Indy!
This week, the Huntley Fire Team competed in Indianapolis and brought the heat despite the cold and wet weather. Everyone gave a solid effort with some standout performances:

Oliver Furman and Brandon Rothbauer both ran strong individual races and crushed the tandem race—which splits the full course between two competitors—and set a new state record!

Eric Rose powered through the individual race—the full course in full gear, mask, and air pack—to earn an impressive 2nd place finish.

Big thanks to everyone who came out to cheer us on. Special shoutout to Barry and George from ServPro—your support truly helps make this possible!

🏆 **Huntley Combat Challenge Team Shines at Midwest Classic in Valparaiso, Indiana!** 🏆

Our team recently competed at the Midwest Regional Classic event in the Fire Challenge League, where the competition is reaching a professional athlete level! With over 100 competitors, we're proud to announce that Huntley Fire has built a strong and respectable team that secured a third-place finish in the Midwest division team time.

Individual achievements include:
- 2nd place Midwest region division 1 (over 40)
- 3rd place division 1 (over 40)
- 2nd place tandem (over 50)
- Midwest regional record tandem (over 50)
- 3rd place division 3 (under 40)
- 3rd place Midwest division 2 (under 40)

🚒🏆 What an amazing week for the Huntley Fire team at the FDIC competition in Indianapolis! With over 230 participants, our 3 outstanding members from Huntley Fire Protection District made us proud. Shoutout to Eric Rose, Josh Roddy, and Chris Jagels for pushing their limits physically and mentally! 🔥💪

We're thrilled to announce that our team ranked 3rd in the Hybrid relay , and Eric Rose secured 2nd place in mens age 40-49 category🥇👏

A big thank you to our supportive families and everyone at HFPD who made this possible! 🙌 We're passionate about promoting physical fitness in the fire service and can't wait to see our team continue to grow. 💯🚒
