Summer Camp 2026 is off to an incredible start!

Over the first two weeks, our campers have been busy making new friends, staying active, exploring the outdoors, and creating memories that will last all summer long. From arts and crafts and group games to sports and playground adventures, every day has been filled with fun and excitement. Campers have already enjoyed exciting field trips to some adventure-filled destinations These opportunities help make every week a new adventure for our campers.

A huge shoutout to our amazing camp staff for creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where campers can learn, grow, and have fun all summer long.

With many more unforgettable experiences still ahead, we can't wait to see what the rest of Summer Camp 2026 has in store!

Grab your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets for a fun-filled evening at the Huntley Park District’s FREE Picnic & Movie in the Park on Friday, June 12 at 6:30p at Deicke Park! Enjoy an evening of music from DJ Don, a couple free crafts, free s'mores, and a special outdoor showing of the classic baseball movie “Rookie of the Year” once the sun goes down.

Families are encouraged to pack a dinner and enjoy a relaxing picnic in the park before the movie begins. Light concessions will also be available for purchase on site.

⚾🎉 WHAT A GRAND SLAM OF AN EVENT! 🎉🥎

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Ribbon Cutting Celebration of the newly renovated Turf Ball Diamonds at Tomaso Sports Park!

We were honored to welcome members of the Huntley community, the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce, the Village of Huntley, including Mayor Tim Hoeft, and so many supporters who came out to help us officially open this incredible facility.

A special thank you goes out to our field sponsors, the Schaumburg Boomers and Kane County Cougars, for helping make this project possible and for supporting youth and community athletics in Huntley.

Following the ceremony, the action shifted from the ribbon to the diamond as local leaders laced up their cleats for a friendly “Local Celebrity” Softball Game. Team Huntley Park District, Village of Huntley, and Huntley Police Department stepped up to the plate and delivered a winning performance, earning bragging rights with a victory over the team representing Huntley Community School District 158 and the Huntley Fire Protection District.

From the first pitch to the final out, the evening was a celebration of community partnerships, recreation, and the bright future of baseball and softball at Tomaso Sports Park.
