Was a great day at the Merrill Park!! The bocce court is now official. Big news coming soon about hosting the WV State Games. I would start working on putting together your team and getting some practice in. A big thank you to everyone that made this possible Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation, Mary Durstein, Patrick Lucas, Alex White, Foundation for the Tristate and all the neighbors who came out to roll.

Would love a great turnout!!

Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District is excited to invite the community to a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony celebrating the newly installed Bocce Ball Court at Merrill Avenue Park!

Join us on Wednesday, September 16, at 6:00 p.m. as we officially cut the ribbon and celebrate this exciting new recreational amenity. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy free play on the new court, along with a refreshing Italian Ice as we celebrate together.

This project was made possible in part through a generous grant from the Foundation for the Tri-State, a donation from Delegate Patrick Lucas, along with the dedicated efforts and support of Park District Commissioner Mary Durstein.

We look forward to gathering with the community and celebrating this wonderful addition to Merrill Avenue Park!

The Parks Department along with Latta’s, our wonderful builder, stopped by today to discuss the final steps of the court. Foul lines will be painted along with a river rock border and a cover for the winter.

It’s now official!!!

We're excited to announce that the new Bocce Ball Court at Merrill Avenue Park is officially open and ready for play!

This project was made possible through the dedication of our community, generous fundraising efforts, a grant from Foundation For The Tri-State, and a contribution from GHPRD.

We can't wait to see everyone enjoying the new court!
