Cole “Lightning” McKinney, had an amazing 4 days of competition at SAG’s. It was so much fun watching this kid compete this weekend. Months of double workouts plus junior guards paid off big time. Out of 6 races Cole took home 5 individual medals. He had 100% time drops in all 6 races. Cole also took down 5 team records. Most of them were his own except for the 100 Fly, that was set back in 2018 by Jacob Chalabian. Despite the high heat in the upper 90’s he kept a positive attitude and had us cracking up all weekend. I’m proud of you kid.

This girl had an amazing weekend. She was faced with high heat at the meet which caused cramping in her legs and feet, still she pushed through. Amelie Rosales it was a joy to watch you battle this weekend. You hit three best times, took home 5 medals in finals, and broke two team records. Sometimes the best meets are not the awards or records you achieved, it’s when you learn about yourself and what you’re capable of when you power through. Couldn’t be more proud of you kid. 💜🖤

Ronin Huynh competed at SAG’s on Sunday with some of the best swimmers in Southern California. He had 100% time drops in all three events. He also took down his own 50 Fly team record! 🔥🔥way to go Ro!

SCS Elite meet last weekend. Elites are all the teams in Southern California Swimming in one fast pool. These kids did a great job this week. Amelie took down her own 50 Fly record. Cole took down a 100 Breast record set back in 2018, plus his own 50 Back and Fly record. Cole also placed in the top 8 in his 50 fly and 100 Back. These kids, along with their training partner Ronin, have one more LC meet this season starting Thursday. Good luck at SAG!!
