Before I owned a surf school, and became an SUD counselor I worked in customer service as a teen/ young adult. Some of my first jobs were working at grocery stores and as a server in an ice cream parlor/ restaurant.
Doesn't sound very exciting but I learned business lessons that I still carry with me today and I try to apply them in my own business.
At the grocery store anyone can buy a can of beans from any store any where, but at the place I worked at they taught us it was the service that brought people to that particular store.
When I was a server the founder of the company was named Bob Farrell. He had a philosophy "give them the pickle and they will be back." Meaning don't nickel and dime people for the small stuff. Give them the side of pickles they want or that side of ranch they are asking for without adding a petty charge. We also had a philosophy at this restaurant that our pardons were our guests not customers.
So when you Surf with us, no matter what your age, skill level, or reason for surfing is I want you to feel like a guest who is getting care and a one of a kind experience.
Reach out to me and we will take care of the rest. Board, wetsuit, coaching, sometimes free stickers and photos too πππ΄βοΈ
As AI π€ moves further into our daily lives and business processes as humans I want to make sure all of our students get a human experience and feel cared for....call it old school but it's the foundation of my company.
