As a tribute to the legacy of Alex Kurtz, the former Esports director who played a pivotal role in establishing and advancing our program, this award honors an individual who exemplifies outstanding leadership qualities embodying Kurtz’s commitment to championing student and program recognition, advocating for their achievements and driving positive change within the Esports program. Like Alex Kurtz, they serve as an inspirational leader who inspires others through their passion, vision, and unwavering support. The Kurtzington Award stands as a testament to Kurtz’s enduring impact on the Esports program, and recognizes an individual who continues to uphold his legacy of leadership and advocacy, providing guidance, encouragement, and stability to others.”
