There are many misconceptions about pregnancy and exercise..

Some of these ideas that are floating around are based on outdated information or methods, while others are simply myths that never really held a lot of value in the first place…

For example: should you let your heart rate get above 140bpm during pregnancy? Former beliefs thought no, but research has shown that is not the case.

It can be frustrating when you have put your faith in some of these ideas only to have them not work out or, worse...set you back further!

Warning...Rant Ahead

I am soooo over the false information and seeing women lose themselves as they navigate motherhood.

I am sooo tired of hearing the unsolicited advice and downright inappropriate comments people say to pregnant women. It’s one population many people don’t seem to care about offending.

When is society going to understand that all they’re doing is causing confusion and fear.

Exercise is not the cause of injury to a mom or baby. It’s about being active in a safe way, and having a qualified professional who understands the nuances of pregnancy.

And that is what I am going to focus on in my web class.

I firmly believe that if pregnant women were educated on safe activity during pregnancy we would see soooo much less complications of pregnancy and many women would feel more empowered as they enter their new phase of life.
