Another great weekend for Team Carolina USMAT!

I couldn't be more proud of the athletes who stepped onto the competition floor this weekend at the Martial Arts Explosion in Rock Hill, SC. Whether they brought home trophies, medals, or simply gained valuable experience, every athlete represented themselves, their families, their instructors, and our team with pride.

Competition isn't just about winning. It's about showing up, managing nerves, performing under pressure, learning from victories and setbacks, and continuing to grow. This weekend, our athletes did exactly that.

As we continue preparing for future national and international competition, weekends like this remind me why I love coaching. Watching these young martial artists challenge themselves, support one another, and leave it all on the floor is what it's all about.

Thank you to the parents, coaches, officials, and tournament staff who help make these opportunities possible.

Congratulations Team Carolina. The work continues, but you should all be proud of what you accomplished this weekend.

This event is about more than individual performances — it’s state versus state.

The US Invitational & State Games is an invitation-only event where athletes step onto the floor representing their home state, contributing to a true team-based competition built on pride, unity, and purpose.

✔️ Open exclusively to US Martial Arts Team (USMAT) athletes
✔️ International teams may participate by invitation only — international programs are encouraged to contact us directly to request an invitation

As we head into 2026, it’s time to officially begin preparation for our upcoming tournament schedule. The next two events on our calendar will set the tone for our competitive year, and I want everyone locked in, focused, and intentional with training from this point forward.
