A little bit about Gray Squirrel Armory, how we got here, and what we offer:
GSA was started in 2021 after years of dreaming about having a gunstore. Having a more than full time job farming already, I wanted to focus on getting customers the products that are the best fit for their needs, not just what has the best profit margins, or what's on the shelf. I'm especially passionate about suppressors, where technology is rapidly changing in the highly competitive nature of that market. These days it seems like we are getting new benchmark setting suppressors multiple times a year, so the 10-15 year old suppressor models I still see selling will never be the best performance for your dollar. I do my best to stay up to date on the latest suppressors, and personally test many that interest me or show potential for customers as much as my store budget allows. I always give the best possible recommendations I can.
Now almost immediately after I received our FFL and SOT with big plans of my wife helping and having the store open regularly most weekends, we found out she was expecting surprise twins! While we are thrilled with these little blessings in addition to our 2 older children, it obviously changed the gunstore plans quite a bit. We also had unexpected problems with a bad home builder shortly after that, which has caused a lot of ongoing extra work for us, in addition to the "day job" on the family farm. This has made GSA primarily a one man operation open by appointment only.
So, if you're looking for a gunstore you can show up to unannounced and wander around looking at a large inventory, which I know is fun, we aren't that kind of store at this time. What I can offer is flexible store hours and after hours communication, even when other stores are closed. We just need to coordinate a time before you show up at the store! Certain intense seasons of farming, like harvest, take nearly all of my time and it may be difficult to get together during those 1 or 2 week periods, but usually I'm fairly flexible throughout the year.
We have accounts at multiple distributors and manufacturers and always adding more. We can order guns, suppressors, optics, thermal and night vision products, magazines, stocks, parts, furniture, muzzle devices, suppressor adapters, even some archery and hunting supplies.
We offer digital finger printing in store and handle all the paperwork, we will even send you your .eft file to use later. It's as easy as we can make it to buy a suppressor here.
While I'm happy to help with AR based builds, parts swapping, mounting scopes or things of that nature, I'm not offering more advanced gunsmithing like threading barrels or custom work at this time.
