Congratulations to Team Bacon for winning the Summer 2018 Men's Basketball Championship! Bacon cruised into the final beating Drill Team handily (75-41) behind a swarming defense and some hot shooting (eleven 3's). On the other side of the bracket the defending champs, Baller Blockers knocked off the previously undefeated and top seed SplashHoops in an early morning nail-biter (61-55). Bacon having played the preceding semi-final, came out a little flat in the final and trailed at the half (19-26). They flipped the switch in the 2nd half to win going away (63-47)! Thanks to all this season's players!

Congratulations to Revolution for winning the Summer 2018 All-Pro Championship! This game was tight in the early going, with both teams scoring on their opening drives. Following an INT, Yobogoya was driving to go up two scores when a tipped and subsequently dropped 4th down pass changed the momentum of the 1st half. Revolution punched in a TD to tie the score at 12-up, and then cashed in an INT of their own for another score right before half to take the lead (18-12) going into the break. They got the ball after half and stayed one-step ahead of Yobogoya the rest of the way, with the final tally being (31-18). Thanks to all this season's players!

Congratulations to Killswitch for winning the Summer 2018 Pro League Championship! As the #3 seed they took out the #7 seed Crabcakes & Football (47-13) in the Semi-Finals. On the other side of the bracket #8 seed Red Rum got a last minute touchdown to finally pull away from the #5 seed Run & Gun (34-26). The title game was choppy with at least 4 punts and 4 Ints between the two teams and a couple of early whistles from the officials. Killswitch jumped out to a commanding 21pt lead at half and tried to sit on it for much of the 2nd half. Red Rum made a late charge but simply ran out of time. Final score (21-14). Thanks to all this season's players!

Playoffs highlights from the day: In the All-Pro League the top seeds all held serve with Yobogoya and Revolution advancing to the Championship next week. It will be the "rubber-match" for these two on the season. If you thought the chalk would waltz through the Pro League, then you were wrong. Both the #1 seeded The Hubs and the #2 seeded Swarm went down in heap of flames, thus wasting nearly perfect (7-1) regular seasons. Big props to #8 Red Rum and #7 Crabcakes & Football for pulling off the upsets! Elsewhere #3 Killswitch cruised into the Semis next week with a comfortable (37-14) win with their backup QB and Run & Gun pulled away to win (27-18) over The Chronic.
