This morning, as I was prepping our Senior football roster for final check off at the VFC board meeting tonight, I couldn't help but be grateful-

Grateful for our football community for sharing our posts, reaching out with words of encouragement, for showing up for our kids

Grateful to the VFC for their guidance in the face of a challenge that felt insurmountable

Grateful to Northwest School District for helping us coordinate being out in front of students for recruitment, allowing us to distribute fliers and for always going the extra mile to help us- sharing the stadium for home games, helping us prepare for comp and so many other ways

Grateful to both Junior High and Varsity teams for helping us get our athletes together, whether it was for skills and drills or just making room for our athletes to practice on the turf and see "the big kids play"

Grateful for our parents who run themselves thin- rushing from work to home to practices- eating dinners at wild hours and sacrificing their down time and sometimes their sanity to make sure their athletes are at practices and games

Tonight, when I turn over a book with twelve, yes 12, rostered Seniors, it will have been because of all of you.

Because of you, our nearly 100 cheerleaders and football players will have a program to return to next year.

Thank you doesn't seem like its enough.
