That’s because you’re comparing what you do every day to someone else’s life that you only see glimpses of.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Most people live a “boring” life. Everyone lives through some type of routine and at some point, we all think life is boring.

If you want to find Joy in your day, You have to find joy in the little things that create your life.

Find Joy in the sunrise on the way to the office, the cats on your friend step when you leave, the shared laughter with a friend or coworker, the ability to go for a walk, the smell of fresh mowed grass, in your daily trip to the gym, the flavor in your dinner.

You have to stop comparing yourself, your fitness, your life to other people & learn to find joy in what you have.

Only then, will you grow and see the growth in life that you are looking for.

Signed up to run a local 5k. 🔥
But couldn’t actually go.
So I ran it at home & it went better than expected.

The lesson - it doesn’t always have to be perfect or done the way you want it to be done. Modification & adaptation is OKAY!!

The next one is July 18th & I WILL NOT BE MISSING IT! 🔥🔥

“I guess I’m just getting older.”

Something I hear all to often - while ache can play a role, most of the aches, stiffness and nagging pains people experience are from limited mobility, muscle imbalances and a lack of strength through the full range of motion.

I’ve created a FREE resource that can help you start moving better & feeling better.

No complicated movements.
No expensive equipment.
Just simple strategies you can start using fight now.

Comment or DM me BALANCE and I’ll send it over.

Your body isn’t asking you to do more. It’s asking for better balance of strength and mobility.

& the one that almost always confuses people.

I will never turn down dessert.
(Unless it is gluten filled)

Food freedom comes from having peace around the foods that used to be triggers.

At one point in life, I was super strict about the foods I kept in the fridge or cabinets or would tell myself that I couldn’t have certain foods. Which only made the food noise worse.

As a coach, I help my clients build the peace around the food that has become demonized and build realistic expectations around what they are eating.

If your goal is to go pro in bodybuilding, yes you’ll have to be strict.
If your goal is to lose weight & be functional in life, you have room for reality.

Around here there is no all or nothing mindset with lifestyle clients. It’s about building long term sustainable success.

If you or your spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, child or really anyone in your life is on a fitness journey. Please read this 👇

Yesterday my best friend sent me this picture from Facebook memories & tbh it took me a minute to process the picture.

Because who even is that?

My brain has a hard time thinking back to where we started. I look back at our wedding pictures from just 3 years ago and it’s hard to recognize how much we have changed.
& not just physically.

Something I don’t think is talked about enough is how much having support can change your results.

I started my fitness journey and Kale supported me BUT his support looked a lot different because he didn’t understand a lot of it. He didn’t understand why I needed to go to the gym 3-5 times a week. He didn’t understand that I needed to plan ahead and not just wing it for when I’d workout each day. He didn’t understand that the foods I ate made a difference in my results.

& because of that prioritizing my fitness felt like a burden.

Until he also started working out with me.

Our dates shifted from getting ice cream to going on a walk.
Going to the gym was just routine & wasn’t a question anymore.
The foods we ate on dates shifted from fast food to structured sit down meals.

Having him understand why these small shifts were important made it easy to show up, to feel like less of a burden when I wanted to prioritize my health.

It made everything easier.
& it’s made our relationship stronger.

Now I’m not saying you have to start your own fitness journey just to be supportive. (Unless you’re ready too)

What I am saying is that if you really want to show support, try to understand. Make the effort to understand how you can be supportive. Don’t rage on them for eating healthier. Don’t push them to skip the gym for ice cream. Encourage the person around you to show up for themselves and to continue to push for their goals. Encourage them to higher a coach instead of telling them to just figure it out.

Be supportive by remembering that is a new journey for them & they may already be struggling. But your true support will keep them going🔥

We are making the Community Walk or Ruck a regular thing 🤩 Next date is May 30th! Bring your friends, your spouse, your kids or dog and get out and move to start your Saturday Morning!

We will meet starting at 7:30am and then walk at 8:00am! Walk a mile together and then circle back to the Siouxland Strength & Rise ABA parking lot! From there, head out into your day or continue to walk with those that choose to!

This walk or ruck is simply about getting out of the house, putting our phones away, moving our bodies & connection in person! Social Media has become overwhelming and social interactions have become less & less. We as humans are social beings and meeting in real life is so good for the soul! So bring the family & get out and move!

Our stroller count for the on May 16th was 3! Think we can double that for May 30th??👀👀

RSVP here 👇or Just show up & walk with us on Saturday! 🌞
