Hello Hulett,
The Rec Board has been doing some renovations to the range recently with many more upgrades to come. The 25M, 50M, and 100M lanes now have three removable target frames each which allow you to slide targets through and hold them, staple them on, or clip them on for ease of use. There are currently only two targets on the 200M lane, however an additional 11 targets will be added soon after we rearrange the back berm. This is being done to allow for enough lanes to hold fi****ms classes and training that will have the ability to stretch from the 100m to the 200m safely, as well as increasing projectile catching capability.
Also, a steel tree has been placed on the 25m lane as well as a steel coyote silhouette with heart flipper target placed at the 200m. Both are made out of AR550, however, please do not use penetrators or high powder rounds on the steel as they are expensive and were purchased with donations. We want them to last for many years so please help us accomplish this.
As always, the Rec Board and firing range are mostly run on donations so if you would like to donate to the range to assist with upgrades please head down to the Greater Hulett Community Center and inform them you are donating directly to the Rec Board Firing Range for allocation purposes.
