Riding their momentum from Saturday’s win on Muskegon Silas Timmer and Chuck Engstrom headed up to Manistee Lake for the West Michigan Bass High School Championship on Sunday. The boys were able to bring home another good finish coming away with 3rd place with a total weight of 12.68 lbs.

Stop #4 of Michigan B.A.S.S Nation on Muskegon Lake proved to be a good one for the boys. Silas Timmer and Chuck Engstrom came away with the win with 16.68 lbs and big bass of 4.43 lbs. Great work boys!

Catching up with an update on some summer tournament results over the past couple weeks. The team of Chuck Engstrom and Silas Timmer have been on a bit of roll with 3rd place finish on Hamlin in the West Michigan Bass weekend trail and a 4th place finish on Muskegon Lake with the Shoreline Bass Tour Youth Division. The team of Jack Laning and Connor VanDis put together a good event on Muskegon with a 13th place finish. Time on the water is helping the boys learn and continue to get better.

The river was good to the boys last night. Second place for Chuck Engstrom and Silas Timmer with 12.51 lbs in Stop #4 of the Shoreline Bass Tour Youth Division.

Summer update on the tournament trail. There have been a couple teams fishing the Shoreline Bass Tour Youth Division on Thursday nights this summer. Silas Timmer and Chuck Engstrom have placed 18th, 14th, and 7th showing improvement each event. This currently has them 5th in the point standings on the year. Jack Laning and Connor VanDis have fished 2 or the 3 events with finishes of 15th and 24th. Next stop is July 16th on the Grand River.

- If you have not paid your annual membership fees and filled out a waiver, this must be paid in cash prior to fishing in the tournament.
-The Montague Municipal Boat Launch has a $40 annual launch fee/permit; we will NOT be responsible/organizing this launch permit, thus come prepared!
-Informational Boat Captain Meeting: Tuesday, June 23rd at 7pm on Facebook Live. All captains/anglers are expected to attend and/or watch the posted live video prior to arriving at the boat ramp. However, ultimately angler/boat captains are responsible for knowing the full set of rules on our website.
