It has been brought to our attention that 223 brass has been found on the range again. The use of Center Fire Rifles is strictly prohibited on the CVP Range.
Due to this being a reoccurring issue from this point on anyone caught shooting Center Fire Rifles at the CVP range will have their membership terminated.
If you witness anyone shooting prohibited fi****ms at the range please let us know.

Thank you,
CVP Board

CVPC Members,

The club will be holding a club wok day October 3rd starting at 9:00am. As you may know, we normally hold two a year but due the virus, that hasn't happened.

In keeping with the current mandate requiring masks when unable to social distance, those who feel uncomfortable working outside with spacing should bring masks.

We anticipate completing the following items. If you have equipment that would help with these projects, please bring them as the club does not own any tools. Those without tools will assist.

1 Cut lengths of conveyor belting, move and place under targets in bays 1,2,3,4, & 5. Will cut to various lengths depending on which bay, its width and number of targets requiring spacing. Belting is located behind the southwest berm.
Tool required: box cutters or similar tools to cut 36" wide x 5/8" conveyor belting.

2. Cover roof on small Conex with corrugated sheet metal.
Tools required: ladders, battery operated drills, bits and drivers.

3. Relocate range rule signage in bays 1,2 & 4 to the block walls. Straighten steel firing line signs in all bays. Add range rule signs to steel posts in bays 3 and 5.
Tools required: battery operated hammer drill and bits, wrenches

4. Replace Base of Dueling Tree.
Tools required: battery operated drills and bits, wrenches

5. Trim around all posts.
Tools required: string trimmers

6. Build a short ramp into Conex.
Tools required: shovels

We anticipate other work to be required and adjustments to this work list may be required.

Thank you,

CVPC Members,

The farmers are harvesting the fields around the range.

If the gate is open when a member arrives, they should leave it open when they leave. If it is locked when they arrive, they should lock it back up when they leave.

Thank you,

CVPC Board

CVPC Members,

While mowing the range Monday, our club treasurer found .223 brass on the 50 yard range and in the empty brass bucket. There are no center fired rifle cartridges allowed on the range. Not even if fired from a handgun. Pistol caliber rifles, black powder and small bore only.

If you need to remind yourself just look at the range rules and signs located on the range. If you're found in violation you will be removed from membership. The restrictions are in place for a reason and failure to follow them could lead to severe repercussions for the range. I wouldn't want to be the one who caused that kind of an issue.

Notice to all members, if you see a violation report it to the board.
