Since 1952, the Hudson Boosters have been helping build opportunities for local athletes and bringing the community together. And when you look back at our history, it’s pretty incredible to see just how much has changed, and how much has stayed the same.

1952: The boys baseball program began
1962: The first Booster Days fireworks
1974: First Drum and Bugle Corps competition
1980: Booster football began
1988: The first Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament
1995: The girls traveling softball program began
2002: Two football fields were created at Grandview Park
2011: 20+ acre lot on Highway 12 was purchased
2020: Grandview fields were converted for both softball and baseball
2023: Krattley Lane fields were named John Herink Fields
2025: A $75,000 investment made to improve local baseball/softball fields

And that’s just a small part of the story.

From baseball fields and football programs to Booster Days, scholarships, tournaments and countless community events, the Hudson Boosters have been building a legacy of support for generations of Hudson youth.

The Hudson Boosters are a 501(c)(3) non-profit civic organization located in Hudson Wisconsin, run entirely by volunteers. We provide athletic and non-athletic activities for citizens of the Hudson School District with a particular focus on organized youth sports - baseball, softball, and football.....

Here’s a sneak peek behind the scenes featuring three generations of the Gilbert family, all with deep roots in Hudson. They’re sharing what it was like growing up here, playing sports through the Booster leagues, and being part of the Hudson community.

The Gilbert family is just one example of the many families in Hudson who have experienced the power of Booster opportunities and the lasting impact they can have on our community. Their story is a reminder of how sports can connect generations and why we’re working to create a place where those traditions can continue for years to come.

Fun fact: The Hudson Boosters serve 1,200+ youth athletes every summer. That means the fields they call home put in some serious overtime.

Over the years, we’ve learned how to make the most of the space we have. But imagine what we could do with a little more room to grow.

The future of Hudson youth sports deserves a space built for generations to come. That’s why the Highway 12 Athletic Complex project continues to move forward. It will create more room, more opportunities and more amenities for the athletes and families who make Hudson youth sports so special.💙

Today, we are honored to share extraordinary news for the future of Hudson athletics. 💙

The Hudson Boosters have received a transformational gift of 50 acres of land from the Baer Family, creating new possibilities for athletic programming, community engagement, and opportunities for generations to come.

This incredible act of generosity is more than a gift of land. It's a gift to our community’s youth, families, and future.
