The Journeyā€¦

I stand in my arena every day and I preach itā€™s a long road to that perfect test that perfect rideā€¦ in fact it has never been done. We are in a sport of perfection and does perfection even exist?

I have gone through the highs and lows of this industry time and time again. I have had a barn full of top horses whose owners are chasing big dreams and all they wanted to do were the ā€œtricksā€. No matter how much I preached the basics on how it all compounds on top of each other. Well most of the time I have found it falls on deaf ears.

My business is strictly based on horse first training. I am all for goals and dreams but the horse comes first. When your horse is balanced connected and confident in its body then the ā€œtricksā€ are possible and frankly non stressful for horse and rider.

People donā€™t get to sit in my arena every day and see what I do. I ride multiple FEI horses a day which I have trained and you will not see me do tempis or mass amount of pirouettes. If the pirouettes are bad itā€™s not the pirouette that needs work. Tricks are fun but only when you and your horse are both on the same page. It takes the ā€œboringā€ work to make the magic.

I love dressage when all the time and correct work on and off the horse comes together and everything just clicks. It works but only if you are patient everyday coming out with a calm mindset of these are building blocks. You canā€™t build a pyramid with no base.

Be patient we are striving for the betterment of our horses. When you lose focus of that then you need to go play golf or tennis where your partner is made of plastic or metal not a living creature.

Have you ever needed just a little help but donā€™t want to commit to trailering off property?

Or have you ever been warming up at a horse show and wish your coach was there to calm your nerves?

I have some new availability for virtual coaching, lessons or even brainstorming sessions.

I have been teaching students virtually for years now and it can be such a helpful tool.

Reach out if interested or if you have any questions.
