Recital is tomorrow, so today we celebrate our final ✨Graduating Senior✨ and JJDD class of 2026 member, Kathryn Powell ❤️🖤

✨Years Dancing: 11
✨High School: Ursuline High School
✨School Achievements/Activities: Feature Twirler for 3 years, NHS, Student Ambassadors (service group), Students of Service (service group)
✨Future Plans: I am going to Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I will be pursuing a career in Occupational Therapy. I will also be twirling for the University of Pittsburgh marching band while in college.
✨Most Memorable Dances: Beyoncé, Americano, Ease On Down The Road, Elton, and Love In The Dark
✨Best Dance Memory: going to Kalahari with my friends and enjoying nationals!
✨What will you take from dance: I will take the patience, teamwork, and communication skills I have gained while dancing. I will also take the friendships and connections I have made and hopefully continue to have.

We are just days away from recital and it’s time to celebrate another✨Graduating Senior✨ and JJDD class of 2026 member, Jasena Puskarcik ❤️🖤

✨Years dancing: 14
✨High school: Jackson Milton (9th-11th) Ursuline High School (12th)
✨School Achievements/Activities: Marching and Concert band, 3 years key club member, 3 years SADD member, Students of Stewardship, National Honor Society, HOBY 2024 ambassador
✨Future Plan: Attend Youngstown State University Honors College currently as an undecided/exploratory major
✨Most Memorable Dances: Circus, JT, I feel good, Elton, Beyoncé, Raise up, Nobody
✨Best Dance Memory: Other than receiving all the awards and buzzers I love going to support the younger dancers at competitions and when we go away for competition I like to hang out with my friends during our breaks
✨What will you take from dance: Dance has shaped me into who I am today. It has taught me many life lessons and skills I’ll carry with me through life. I’ve learned the value of hard work, discipline, time management, team work, confidence, and so much more. Most of all I’ve loved getting to be a role model for the younger dancers and the opportunity to work on my leadership skills. I’ve gained a family who will always hold a special place in my heart!

✨Years dancing: 13
✨School: Northeast Ohio Impact Academy
✨School Achievements/Activities: Marching band, feature twirler, dance line, color guard, drumline (captian+section leader) NHS (social chair), Tri M music honors society, student ambassador, concert band, stambaugh youth concert band
✨Future plans: The Williams Honors College in the University of Akron majoring in biology with a dual minor in forensic studies and chemistry
✨Most memorable dances: The Circus, How it Ends, Hold on Tight, Six feet overground, JT
✨Best dance memory: Seeing our hard work pay off nationals last year when our contemporary won national champion, and Monday night tlj classes with the best team i could ask for
✨Dance has taught me enough that I would have to write a novel to get it all out. The biggest main things that will stick with me throughout the rest of my life are the friendships I’ve made these past 13 years, and the confidence, resilience, and appreciation of expression that dance has allowed me to exert all of these years. I might not have too much longer left to dance with the family I’ve made here but the lessons they’ve taught me will stay with me wherever I end up.

✨Future Plans: To attend  Youngstown State University majoring in Business Administration
✨Most Memorable Dances: Elton, Madonna, Bits and Pieces, How do I say Goodbye, JT, Crowd go Crazy, Beyoncé, Nobody, Raise up
✨Best Dance Memory: getting the icon dance award for Beyoncé, getting the highest scoring 13 & up group dance for Raise up.
✨What will you take from dance: Dance has taught me many valuable skills through the years at the studio like teamwork, responsibility, and trust. Those lessons shaped me into who I am today and have pushed me to grow as a better person on and off stage. It showed me how to be a role model for the little kids who look up to me and how important it is to set an example they can follow. I’ll always carry these lessons with me and apply them in my future no matter where I go. Most importantly, I’ve learned that if you want something, you have to work hard for it to achieve it. I want to thank the dancers and teachers at J&J’s Dance Depot for everything they have done for me throughout the years.

Today marks 🎉ONE WEEK🎉 until recital and let’s celebrate with our next ✨Graduating Senior✨ Today like to introduce our fifth member of the JJDD class of 2026, Aubrey Harris ❤️🖤

✨Years Dancing: 15 years
✨High School: Hubbard High School
✨School Achievements/Activities: Majorette, Yearbook editor, Class Historian, NHS, Student Council, FEA, Pep Club Co-Secretary, Broadcasting
✨Future Plans: To attend West Virginia University for Early Childhood Education
✨Most Memorable Dances: Little Red Wagon, JT and Get Back
✨Best Dance Memory: Placing in the top ten at nationals for our hip hop small group.
✨What will you take from dance: I have learned a lot of things over the years that I would have never learned if it wasn’t for dance. I have learned resilience and how to come back stronger after an injury. That in order to achieve your goals, you have to put in the work and learn to discipline yourself. Most importantly I have learned that the best teams are built on trust. Not only does this trust create friendships, but it also makes your teammates family and I will forever be grateful for that.
