So much to happen on June 20th! "Time Capsule" opening at Hubbard Public Library. And, "PA-OH Gives" Giving Week begins! This is a perfect opportunity to support the Library by donating to Hubbard Friends of the Library via this online fundraiser. You can donate, beginning June 20th and through the week until June 26th! All proceeds to Friends benefit the library and its programs and resources! And, your donation is tax-deductible! More information about the "Time Capsule Opening" event at Hubbard Public Library this Saturday, June 20th! Q: What will be done with the items 'unearthed'? A: See graphic below! And, come to the event and see for yourself what is found!!

50 years in the making!

We will be having a ceremony featuring guest speakers on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 10:00am-12:00pm to view the contents of Hubbard's 1976 time capsule! The citizens of Hubbard buried a time capsule in 1976 in front of the library with the intention of unearthing it in 50 years to celebrate America's 250th Birthday!

***Due to logistics of excavation of the time capsule, we will open it prior to June 20th to determine the condition of the items inside. We realize some will want to be here for the unearthing of the time capsule. Please exercise caution if observing the process and stay behind the barriers we set in place.

REMINDERS: This Saturday, June 20th, is the "Time Capsule Opening" event at Hubbard Public Library! A Time Capsule, buried 50 years ago, will be opened as part of the activities and programs celebrating America's 250the Birthday! Details below. Also, the Library will be closed on Friday, the 19th, to prepare for this exciting event!!

The "Coloring Contest" continues at the Circulation Desk at Hubbard Public Library! Pick up a patriotic page to color at the Circulation Desk, color it and return it to Circ and enter the contest! There are prizes in each of three categories: Children, Teen, Adult! Your entry will be displayed as well! In the photos below, Aaron S. , at Circulation, shows the entries to date! [And, Q: what are the prizes? A: Books, of course!] As ever, thank you Hubbard Public Library workers for all you do to educate and entertain!
