I was about to start an “All Things Wild” presentation and realized my beloved grunt tube..My tool. My right hand man during deer season…. broken. I’ve had it a number of years from a custom series.

I contacted Mark and sent it out for repair. He had the ‘ole deer talker ship shape in no time. Spliced it back together, handful of new coats, a new reed and rings. It’s ready to RIP!

We put 7 salmon and 1 lake trout in the boat yesterday fishing one of Maine’s most beautiful lakes..

She almost got the best of me- The drain plug SOMEHOW came out and snapped off the chain when we switched spots, I did have a spare. Things got a little dicey for a minute there……. Thank god for an extra plug and auto bilge. You always gotta have 2-3 of everything out there folks!

Stay tuned for a couple videos sooner than later, I’ve got some content to edit and post. I threw in a few pictures from Friday evening as well- we put a half dozen to the net on Cold stream.

The Ghost has been getting some water time lately. Little photo dump- I went on tour and hit East Grand, West Grand, Cold Stream, and West lake to check things out. I can think of 4-5 more I’d like to hit within the next couple of weeks. It’s heating up- time to fish folks!

Last week I got to visit Brewer Community School for the 3rd year in a row. Cole went down to drop everything off the night before and he said “wow it’s beautiful” and I couldn’t agree with him more! Such a nice school, and a beautiful stage to present on. We had a good time- those kiddos were ready for school vacation and I don’t blame them! Thank you for having me again friends.

Spent the afternoon at East Grand School for the East Grand After School Program.

I’ve been to East Grand Lake fishing plenty of times, and I’ve gone by the school every time without even knowing it was there! A nice friendly environment, and all the kids were excited to see a new face. This school has an outstanding Outdoor Education program locked down with a couple of A+ mentors..

It felt good to shake off the cobwebs and get back in the saddle again. Lost a real nice salmon at the net, had a few more strikes on the boards and got a nice laker.. equipment all worked properly. Time to get on ‘em!

Cole’s been after me to pull the “Tin Fran” out of the woods. He said “That’s my boat” get the four-wheegah and hook it.. so that’s what I did.

You forget how something so simple can be everything to a new sportsman. It put a tear in my eye, he’ll be ripping around before I know it! 🛥️💨🎣
