Summer in New Jersey means fresh picked, delicious berries. Listening to my kids describe the beautiful shades of pastel blue, the soft feel of the berry skin, and of course the yummy recipes they want to make when we get home made this mindful mama’s heart happy. Summer is the perfect time to slow down, be fully present, and notice all the little things that make this life so beautiful! 🫐

When we take the time to quiet our mind, we can tune into our soul.

Every time I walk out of my room I read the words “Invest In Me,” on my vision board. Last night I took some time to do just that. I attended the Self Love workshop at . Full transparency it wasn’t what I expected. At moments I felt uncomfortable. And that’s ok. It’s ok to feel uncomfortable as long as you still feel safe. As I settled in deeper, I felt into my soul and received the message that I needed to hear from my higher self….I. AM. WORTHY. You don’t realize how much you need to hear something until you let yourself receive it. I am worthy of investing in me. I am worthy of love. I am worthy of my dreams. I am worthy of taking up space in the world. I am worthy of sharing my voice. I am even worthy of buying a new pair of jeans for ME!! (Moms I know you feel me on that one.) I am worthy of it all.

To close out the class we received a random love note from our soul. The words you need to hear always make their way to you. Thankful for this message. 🥰✨

Did you know you can audit classes from various Universities and learn material from amazing professors without the stress of exams?!

Last week my Girl Scouts earned the badge “The Science of Happiness.” In my research I stumbled upon a course out of Berkeley with the the same title. I was a Sociology major that went on to earn my Masters in Elementary Education. If I were to go back to school I would be all about taking classes in Neuroscience and learning more about how the brain works! It’s truly fascinating to see the science behind how we think, feel, and respond.

So I decided why not sign up for this online course! It’s completely free and you go at your own pace. Over the next 10 weeks I’ll be learning more about the science behind connection, kindness, mindfulness, gratitude and more! So excited for this opportunity!!

A few years ago we stopped setting new years resolutions and started choosing a word of the year to gently guide us throughout the new year. It’s now a family affair with all of us choosing a word. I am excited to see what we create in 2023. Happy New Year! 🥳

All I can say is wow!! The tweens in today’s workshop put so much thought into their intentions and goals for 2023. Take the time to talk to the young people in your life about the lives they want to create for themselves. You might be surprised by what is on their hearts. Super proud of what these young people started creating today! 🌟🥰🧘‍♀️
