The results are in!!
1100 miles away at the NASP Championship in Daytona, Florida, with only 2 Howell archers and 0 Coaches, Noah Heilig and Katia Gonzalez's flights were scheduled back-to-back. When one archer had their flight, the other coached and held spare arrows. In Howell, we look out for each other, one arrow at a time.
Southwest Elementary Katia Gonzalez continued breaking records at the NASP Championship. In Bullseye, despite one arrow missing the target in End 2 (one arrow was found with a bad vane), Katia did not let it affect her and she scored 262 breaking the Elementary Female record by 1 point. Later the same day, Katia shot 269 at 3D, ranked 10 and broke the Elementary Female record by an impressive 9 points!!! Lookout Parker Middle School archers, this Coyote is coming your way.
Howell High School Senior Noah Heilig wrapped up his NASP career with 85 tournaments, a Bullseye personal best of 295, a 3D personal best of 296, and was invited to the NASP Championship 3D Scholarship Shoot Off where he placed 2nd and won a $4000 scholarship. Noah will be attending Hope College in the Fall.
