After multiple rain delays, the girls were able to play games on Sunday in a compressed format. They took a couple of tough losses, with a defensive inning in each game deciding their fate. This has provided a lot of opportunities for the girls to work on in practice and for us coaches to approach those innings differently to lessen the chaos.
There are definitely some positives. Outside of those innings, our fielders made the plays. We continue to outhit our opponents in these losses (congrats to Rose, who hit a bomb over the left field fence!). Our pitching has also helped keep us in these games.
It's April, and these girls are competitors. If there's one thing they've always done, it's make corrections to continue to improve as a team.
We're back at it in Findlay, Ohio this weekend for a fun Star Wars themed tournament. It should be a good one! Let's go Hawks!
