Laura and Ellie had the opportunity to compete in the 2023 WFSCA Senior All Star Game! They hit the field for one last time together…. And they rocked it!
They had the opportunity to play with an amazing group of Seniors… and they went 2-0 today!!!

This week we celebrate our Seniors!!! 🥎 💙 🥎

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: #21 Laura Heim

Favorite Softball Memory:
My favorite memory has to be from our 2022 foreign exchange student, Eliza. Liza joined our team with absolutely no softball knowledge, and when she hit the ball in a game she was so shocked she forgot to run!

What will you miss most about HG Softball?
I will definitely miss the team the most. Through love or hate, this team is a family. Ups and downs were inevitable, but nothing can come between the bond of our team.

Funniest thing that happened this season:
At the Chilton tournament I ran into the wrong dugout after running to home base.

Advice for incoming athletes:
While I ask you all to always give 100% both on and off the field, make sure to take care of your body and fuel it properly.

Something you are most proud of:
I am most proud of all the work I’ve put in to get where I am. Even though very few believed in me throughout the way, I managed to overcome their opinions and prove them wrong.

Plans after high school:
I am attending Alverno College to study nursing and continue my softball career!

It’s always important to try your best and give it your all, enjoy it while you have it, and just HAVE FUN

Something you are most proud of:
Being a part of the Howards Grove High School Softball team and being able to play my Senior year

Plans after high school:
Attend UW LaCrosse for physical therapy
