Mark your calendars! The Howard Lake Fire Dept. and Ambulance service will once again be hosting their annual pork chop dinner from 4pm-7:30pm (or until gone) this Saturday, June 27th, at the fire station.
The meal consists of pork chop, beans, potatoe salad and dinner roll, water or milk
Come on out for a good meal while also supporting a great organization!
Also, if you have ever thought about joining the Howard Lake Fire & Ambulance Service, they are currently taking applications. This is a great opportunity to be involved in our community, while also filling a vital role in the emergency response within our area. If interested, applications can be filled out here:

Mon-Fri 6am-7pm and Saturday 6am-3pm

We just wanted to give a shout out to Mark from Huston Crane Service, Ross from Rossco's Outdoors, and Brad Smith for their quick response and all of their help when our sign decided it no longer wanted to be standing last night when the front came through. These three guys took time out of their Friday evening to help us in our time of need. None of them had to help us, but we are so very grateful that they did!

**WE ARE ABLE TO SELL FISHING & HUNTING LICENSES AGAIN**
The DNR state wide licensing system is back up and running. That means you are once again required to have a license to fish or hunt in Minnesota.
Some things to know about their new system-
*You can still purchase your license in person at our store and other retail locations or online
*You will now have to pick if you want a physical license printed off or if you prefer to have it emailed to you
*When you buy a hunting license that requires you to do a harvest registration if you have a succesful hunt, you will now need to pick if you will be doing the registration in person or online (pick your choice when you purchase your license) and we have been told that you will not be able to switch your choice later if you want to

Part-time help wanted
Hours would be 3:30PM until 7PM a couple days during the week and 8AM-3PM a few Saturdays a month.
Job responsibilities include: Helping customers, operating cash register, filling shelves, filling propane, minor cleaning, working with live bait, assembling lawn equipment and anything else that may come up.
Must be at least 15 years old with reliable transportation, be able to lift 50 #, do basic math, and be willing to help customers in order to be considered for this position.
We will train all new hires on all tasks
Pay based on experience
